legal permission

In order for us to be able to make our own video for 'We Are Rockstars', it was required of us to email the record company, 'Almost Gold Records' to seek legal permission before hand.

We created this email and sent it using George's school account

Here is the email we sent:

To Almost Gold Records

We are a group of A Level students working on an A Level project for

a qualification in Media Studies. We are writing to request permission to

use the following track as part of this project:

We Are Rockstars by Does It Offend You, Yeah?

With your permission the track would be used as the accompaniment to a

short form video that is made purely for assessment purposes and will have no commercial usage.

The video will be viewed only by members of the school community and the assessor of the examination board.

The artist and the copyright holder will of course be fully recognised in the

pre-production and evaluation material that accompanies the project. We can also include a full copyright

notice if required both in the planning material and on the video itself.

Yours sincerely,

George Smith, Tom Cunningham, Catherine Dixon & Megan Knowles

uv paint supply

After some research we have found a few compnaies that we could order the UV paint from.

http://www.glow.co.uk/glow-party.html

http://www.uvgear.co.uk/product/uvbodypaint.htm

This is the effect that we are going to be going for....

In terms of the body paint design, we want to create patterns, rather than block colours (handprints, stripes, dots and more complex patterns)

We have researched that on average, the paint will cost around £2 per tube. But do to the effect that we want we will probably need double the amount per person. The colours we would like to use are orange, pink, yellow, green and white. Therefore the paint will cost around £60.

digipak idea

This is the digipak idea created by the group. As this is used not only as the cd cover but also as advertising and so it had to relate our band and the theme of our video.
