my first practical lesson.

interviews:
our first practical lesson was when we learnt how to use a camera and lighting. we set up a camera on a tripod in a studio and a lot of different lights around the room. we then filmed one interviewer and on member of the class on two chairs we changed the possitioning and the lighting of the camera as the interviewed person was changed giving everyone a chance to be interviewed. i filmed most of the interviews as i had previous experience at using film cameras.
Photoshop:
we had our second practical lesson using photoshop, we edited a blade poster using photoshop. we used different photos of blade, put them together using the cutting tool and the move tool, and made a new one. we learnt how to use layering and the burn and sponge tool and magic wand ect. then for our prep we had to edit our own blade poster together. this was very interesting as we were left on our own to edit the pictures. i had some problems with layers but it was quickly sorted out and i produced my blade poster.
still cameras:
in our third practical lesson we used still cameras to take pictures of ourselves and other group members in different shot sizes. my group of four went onto a music practice room and took turns taking pictures of each other. we used different shot sizes like close up, medium close up, wide shot, extreme close up. ect. we then edited the pictures on photoshop.
video cameras:
in our fourth practical lesson we used video cameras to film a short clip of an action. my group filmed someone walking in and picking up a pot of sugar from the table. we used different shot sizes, angles and panning. we then returned to the class and compared videos.
